Compare trim sizes.
See the proportions of common book sizes. What is available depends on your printer and binding.
inches
Shown to scale with each other, not actual size. Trim is the finished page size. Bleed extends artwork past the cut edge. Margins keep text safely inside it.
How it works
The drawing uses the same scale for every option: 18 screen pixels per inch. This compares proportions, not actual physical size. Trim means the finished width and height after the book is cut.
A worked example
A 6 × 9 inch page is one and a half times as tall as it is wide. An 8.5 × 8.5 inch page is square. Consider how your existing illustrations fit each shape before committing to a layout.
Before you use the result
The list is a planning reference, not a promise that every printer supports each size and binding. KDP and IngramSpark offer different combinations. Confirm availability before finalizing artwork.
