You want a digital edition that readers can navigate comfortably, rather than a print page squeezed onto a screen. This service prepares an eBook from your final manuscript. Reflowable EPUB is appropriate for many text-led books; illustrated or tightly arranged content needs an early discussion about format and the intended stores or devices.

What to send

Send the final text with a clear heading structure, image placement notes and any footnotes or endnotes. Include the digital cover if it is already prepared. Identify links that should remain active and any print page references that may need a different treatment in the digital edition.

Name the platforms where you intend to publish. If you have tables, sidebars, poems or complex illustrations, include representative examples in the brief. Tell us whether preserving exact visual positioning is essential, because that affects the choice between reflowable and fixed-layout treatment.

How we work through your book

We establish the reading order and navigation before applying the digital styling. A linked contents structure helps readers move through the book. Images and captions are placed to remain connected as the screen size changes. Print headers, footers and page numbers usually need different handling in an eBook.

The agreed edition is technically validated and reviewed. Proofing should include changes to type size and display width, along with checks of chapter, note and return links. A file that opens successfully still needs a reader’s eye: the order of information must make sense.

Your finished files

The quotation identifies the EPUB and any other agreed digital deliverables. Print interiors and wraparound covers are separate outputs. After delivery, upload through your own retailer account and use the store’s preview tools before publication. If the platform returns a specific error, keep the message so it can be assessed accurately.

Questions about this service

Can you simply convert my PDF?

A PDF may be useful as a visual reference, but the editable manuscript usually provides a better starting point for a structured digital edition. We assess the available files first.

Will the eBook have the same page numbers as print?

A reflowable edition changes with the screen and reader settings. Navigation should rely on chapter and section links rather than fixed print pagination.

Are fixed-layout books included automatically?

No. The appropriate format and its deliverables are agreed from the content and intended platforms before work begins.
